America Is Losing the War On DRUGS
America Is Losing the War On DRUGS

Naples, FL  34104   December 27 2005

"Don't Talk To Strangers" hasn't lost its impact from parents of every generation

The "Say No To Drugs" is reaching the wrong audience, according to Eric R. Danton, Hartford Courant, a daily in Connecticut. He is the rock critic.
Danton says that "many dealers sell drugs because it's the fastest, easiest way they know to make money, which they need to buy the one thing that truly matters to them: STATUS.
He refers to Rapper 50 Cent, who owns a mansion in Farmington, CT. He has written a book, an autobiography, From Pieces to Weight. He has cooked and sold cocaine when he was 11 years old. He learned the lucrative economics of the street instead of applying for college. He wrote that the idea of going to school for another six years to make less money than he could make in six months is laughable.
He made $24.9 million in earnings as a rapper last year, according to Rolling Stone Status.
You cannot reach this group until they decide that drugs are BAD to deal or to take. This group never will be reached with "SAY NO TO DRUGS" if they ever see the message. It is too bad!

"Don't Talk to Strangers"

When I was a small child, my mother always said: "Don't Talk To Strangers." I am sure that my friends who had a horrible experience recently were given the same advice.
My friends are opening a small deli restaurant. The husband received a traffic violation and had to appear in court.
While in court, they met a couple who were there for a violation. They became friends and invited them to their condo. They asked the "friends" to help them install sinks in their restaurant. They said: "Yes."
The "friends" took mattresses from the condo and stayed at the store to install the sinks. That is not all they took. They had drinking parties at the store and shared cocaine with others.
My friends were in the hole for helping these people get their car out. It was impounded. They also had other expenses totaling $2,000. My friends changed the locks on the restaurant and their condo after they got rid of them. Asked if they would talk to strangers again, they said "Never!" Our parents did give good advice way back then. We should take it.

Double Blind Placebo Clinical Trial Supports Effectiveness of HPF Hangover Prevention Formula

Double Blind Placebo Clinical Trial Supports Effectiveness of HPF Hangover Prevention Formula Contrary to British Medical Journal Report.

Nutrimark, LLC, the manufacturer of HPF Hangover Prevention Formula(tm), has very substantive clinical evidence to refute a published article in the British Journal Of Medicine relating to its patented Prickly Pear Cactus extract, Tex-OE(tm).

Cardiff By The Sea, CA (PRWEB) December 27, 2005 -- The purpose of an article in The British Medical Journal, December 24, 2005, which was sent to news media throughout the world, was to present a review of fifteen different hangover interventions. This daunting challenge, compiled by only two “reviewers” basically concluded that no hangover preventative product works.

Nutrimark would like to set the record straight in support of the company’s nutritional supplement that contains the patented prickly pear extract that was found to be effective at preventing hangover symptoms in randomized controlled trials at a major medical university.

The clinical study on the patented prickly pear extract was performed by the distinguished medical research team, that also published a comprehensive report entitled The Alcohol Hangover, presented in the Annals of Internal Medicine, July, 2000,132: 897-902.

The clinical trials performed among 55 graduate medical students at Tulane University were peer-reviewed by the American Medical Association and the results were published in the AMA’s prestigious Archives of Internal Medicine, 2004; 164: 1334-40.

In the double-blind, randomized placebo study conducted at typical-style college barbecue parties on campus at Tulane, the patented extract, Tex-OE, derived by a special patented process from the fruit of the prickly pear cactus, was found to be the first product ever deemed “statistically significant” at preventing hangover symptoms when taken before ingesting alcohol. In addition the study found Tex-OE to provide improved cognitive function the morning following drinking.

The clinical study reported that the active extract works to prevent typical hangover symptoms such as dry mouth, fatigue and nausea by preventing inflammation caused by alcohol. The manufacturer’s HPF Hangover Prevention Formula with Tex-OE also contains B-Vitamins which are depleted when alcohol is consumed. Tex-OE also has been the subject of studies that show that the extract has the ability to rapidly accelerate the synthesis of protective and restorative HSPs (heat shock proteins) in response to various types of stress.

Nutrimarki, CEO, Gerald J. Stefanko commented, "One saving grace of the article in the British Medical Journal may be he exposition and quick dismissal of a plethora of “snake oil” hangover products being marketed that are not rooted in proven science as Tex-OE is. However, if the research fellows take the time to carefully peruse the peer-reviewed study, or better yet, test the extract for themselves, they will understand why rapidly increasing numbers of people throughout the world are continuing to buy HPF Hangover Prevention Formula with Tex-OE".

The peer-reviewed clinical trials of the patented prickly pear extract validate the claims of the Southern California company, Nutrimark, LLC, that manufactures and sells Tex-OE as a dietary supplement. Trademarked under the name HPF Hangover Prevention Formula, the herbal extract capsules are sold nationally in the U.S. via a toll free 24/7 call center (800) 720-2970, via the internet at www.hangoverprevention.com and www.perfectequation.net

Stefanko added, "In response to our nutritional supplement's ever-increasing demand, Nutrimark is now gearing to move its patented hangover prevention product line into the mass-market."

Who's on the List to Receive Antiviral Treatment?

The Government's 'Unspoken Acknowledgment': Who's on the List to Receive Antiviral Treatment?

The federal plan to stockpile antiviral medications will not be able to support the entire US population. Therefore, the government recommends "priority groups" to determine who will be allowed treatment in the event of an avian flu pandemic. The small supply of medications will need to be used effectively and efficiently, while keeping in mind the groups at high-risk and rates for spread of infection. Because children and the elderly contribute greatly to infection rates and are more susceptible to disease, it is imperative that the government keep this in mind.

Bethesda, MD (PRWEB) December 27, 2005 -- In advance of an avian flu pandemic, the government is preparing to stockpile quantities of antiviral drugs as an early response plan to curtail the spread of infection. The Department of Health and Human Services anticipates that stockpiled antivirals will be sufficient to treat 25% of the US population. However, the current quantity of antiviral drugs may be as low as only 2% for the American public, and the timeline to produce sufficient quantities years out. This ultimately begs the question of how the government plans to distribute and prioritize an extremely limited amount of medication to most effectively serve the public good.

Recently, representatives from the International Association of Medicinal Compliance (IAMC) and FLAVORx, Inc. have been meeting with members of Congress to propose an effective response to the avian flu. Top government leaders hint at an ‘unspoken acknowledgement’ regarding the “priority groups” to receive antiviral treatment. At the top of the list are key decision makers and essential service providers. Immediately following these groups are medical personnel working closely with avian flu cases and research and pharmaceutical manufacturers capable of producing more antivirals or deriving an effective avian flu vaccine. “But what about children? Or the elderly? Or those with compromised immunity?” asks Gunjan Koul, Program Director for the IAMC. “What process is our government using to determine who is eligible for treatment when the reality of who spreads it most isn’t even addressed?”

The CDC suggests that the priority of groups to receive the human influenza vaccine begins with children aged 6-23 months, adults 65 and older and those at high risk for developing serious medical conditions such as those with pre-existing chronic disease states “So why would these same high risk groups not be a top priority in the avian flu pandemic?” says Koul. “Pandemic spread is determined by the rate of infection. If the government can’t protect those most prone to contracting or spreading the virus, then no amount of antiviral medication will be sufficient to stop it.”

Studies show that children play a considerable role in disease transmission, with 45% of school-age children normally infected during an influenza outbreak. Children are at an increased risk for influenza-related hospitalizations and much more likely to spread infection to other children, family members and even out-of-home caregivers. According to the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID) “because schools are an excellent place for flu viruses to attack and spread, families with school-age children have more infections than other families, with an average of 1/3 of the family members infected each year.” Senator Kennedy’s Science and Policy Office notes that “vaccinating 80% of children is as good at slowing the spread of flu as vaccinating 80% of the total population.”

The WHO suggests administering the human influenza vaccine to reduce the potential for people to be infected with the avian flu and concurrently infected with the human influenza strain. Dual infection increases the opportunity for genetic reassortment of the avian strain with genes from the human strain, which could result in a mutated, more potent pandemic strain. Because children and the elderly are at higher risk for contracting the human flu virus, additional infection with the avian flu virus could show exponentially detrimental damage to public health as a whole.

Earlier this year, the first wave of avian flu vaccine development yielded positive results in the testing of healthy adults. However according to So. Captain Charles Baxter of the US 7th Fleet, “a vaccine for the avian flu has yet to be invented and it probably won’t until the disease reaches pandemic state.” Beyond that, trials must also be conducted to determine the effectiveness and safety in children.

But without an effective vaccine yet available, or without the guarantee that a vaccine will be safe for children and the elderly, Koul wonders how they will protect these groups. Recent events also show that a higher dosage, and thus a larger quantity of Tamiflu suspension, might be needed to suppress the effects of avian flu symptoms and mortality. The IAMC and FLAVORx have proposed that, in light of this information on influenza susceptibility and disease spread, the focus for prioritizing distribution of antiviral medications be placed on children and the elderly. To ensure that these drugs are used as effectively as possible, patients must adhere to near 100% medicinal compliance. For children and the elderly, studies show that non-compliance is typically the result of taste and palatability in swallowing medications. FLAVORx’s continual studies on antiviral medications like Tamiflu conclude that the liquid suspension has an extremely bitter aftertaste and systemic effect, unpleasantly remaining on the taste buds for several hours to days. This can be easily overcome with the addition of a medically designed flavoring. In the event of an avian flu pandemic, it is imperative that the government be prepared with a comprehensive plan that addresses all aspects, details and risks associated with the spread of infection to successfully protect the public health.

Canadian Firm Brings Clarity to Medicare Part D

Canadian Firm Brings Clarity to Medicare Part D

The Government Medicare part D plan is confusing a lot of seniors. Sometimes it takes an outside perspective to bring clarity to complicated issues. The explanation this Canadian Pharmacy came up with, has helped their clients understand it better.

Vancouver BC (PRWEB) December 23, 2005 -- Dwain Berlin, spokesman for Professional Services Canada says his group noticed a basic common denominator in Medicare part D, and set about explaining that concept on their website. As a Canadian Pharmacy exporter, they hear a lot of complaints and concerns about Medicare part D.

The magic figure is $2250 (for insured medications) If that is the exact amount spent on covered prescriptions, then the savings is about 52%. Savings drop dramatically as expenses go beyond (or are less than) that magic number.

To help their own clients, the company devised a simple graph. The idea is to replace the numbers on the Medicare part D graph with personal expenses to fit the situation. There is also a three minute video on their website to help explain the concept. Medicare Part D
Look for the Video Icon to view it.

What they noticed was the specific dollar amount where the best savings are. The farther away your expenses are from that ideal figure, the less the overall savings will be with Medicare part D. It is important to calculate the savings over a full year and exclude any drugs that are not covered in the plan, to come to a true savings amount.

This explanation gives a fresh look at the Medicare part D plan and helps create a foundation to view the plan from. Many of their clients had positive comments about the clarity of the explanation and were thankful for the help.

There is actually quite a large area where Medicare part D is lacking overall effectiveness.

For example; If the insured medications cost less than $1200 each year and monthly premiums are $35, overall savings will be about 16%.

Another example; If insured medications cost more than $2250 within the year, that is the doughnut hole where there is no coverage up to $5100. Savings diminish rapidly after the $2250 mark.

The break away point is $2250. If there is exactly $2250 spent on insured medications the savings are about 52% according to Professional Services Canada.

The significance of that figure becomes even sharper because it only applies to pills that are insured in the Medicare part D plan. Some prescriptions are not covered in all plans. Read the fine print and connect the dots with personal medications.

The best way to calculate the savings is to work it out over the year.

Add the deductible, the monthly premiums, and the 25% not covered. (up to $2250) Subtract it from the local retail amount, and that will show the savings.

If full retail prices can not be avoided on some medications, see if it’s available from Canada. If that medication is available from a Canadian Pharmacy, the savings can be quite a bit and will increase the overall annual savings.

Call and ask for a price quote. The average savings range from 30% - 40% on expensive medications, and in some cases as high as 50% There are two scenarios where a Canadian Pharmacy service will be a benefit.

1) If expenses are higher than $2250 each year, the doughnut hole can be avoided by using a Canadian Pharmacy, and

2) If expenses are less than $1200 each year, savings can be significantly higher by using a Canadian Pharmacy service exclusively. (Rather than Medicare part D)

RxSchool Course Establishes Importance of Medicinal Flavoring to Optimal Healthcare

FLAVORx Helps Launch Pharmacy Continuing Education Program - The RxSchool Course Establishes Importance of Medicinal Flavoring to Optimal Healthcare

FLAVORx announces the inclusion of a medicinal flavoring education program through the RxSchool. Over ten years of research, development and experience in medication flavorings has helped thousands of pharmacists improve taste and palatability, which in turn has greatly improved medication compliance, recovery time and positive health outcomes in over 50 million patient cases.

(PRWEB) December 24, 2005 -- FLAVORx has been integral in the incorporation of a flavoring course into the RxSchool’s most recent pharmacy Continuing Education (CE) Program. In a collaborative effort with both medical researchers and industry scholars, FLAVORx addresses the need for greater understanding of the important role flavoring plays in medicinal compliance and a full and fast recovery. The CE program’s focus is to educate healthcare practitioners on the practice of medication flavoring and the need to enhance both the taste and palatability of liquid medications safely through such techniques as taste masking and the new sciences of taste receptor stimulus and blocking. While many people feel that flavoring is a mere novelty, FLAVORx’s extensive research and development with everybody from children to the elderly combined with work done with the largest pharmaceutical manufacturers in the world over the past ten years clearly reflects that flavoring plays an integral role in successfully completing a medication regimen (with a safe medical grade flavoring compliance goes from a mere 50% to over 90%). FLAVORx applauds the inclusion of a flavoring component in the RxSchool program. This inclusion reflects the acceptance of the industry, the public and academia that flavoring and proper medication usage is extremely imperative for a full recovery and positive health outcomes from illness.

Completing the course will help promote the pharmacists’ innate responsibility to provide the best pharmaceutical services to help ensure their patients the best care for a safe and effective recovery. Starting in January pharmacists will earn one free credit hour by going to www.rxschool.com-- presently the course is listed under the ‘Featured Courses’ section.

Kenny Kramm FLAVORx’s founder, President and CEO states, “As medicinal flavoring continues to improve the quality of health care, FLAVORx is committed to being the leader in its development and education. We are proud to have teamed up with the RxSchool to serve as one of the fine consultants that help produce this program.”

Pharmacists, technicians, educators and anyone involved in pharmacy practice is encouraged to take the course. For more information about FLAVORx and the CE Program, please go to http://www.flavorx.com/home.html and click on Rx Pharmacy CE.

  Avoid Online Drug Scams

Avoid Online Drug Scams

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Lakewood, WA (OPENPRESS) October 21, 2005 -- Consumers Discount Rx and Trusted Online Prescriptions succeed in returning honesty and trust to purchasing online prescriptions.

Insurance costs and lawsuits are continually driving up the price of drugs. As a result, more and more online drug stores are selling poor quality and illegal medications disguised as fast, reliable and real. Purchasing these drugs is a costly and potentially unhealthy mistake many consumers make.

Consumers Discount Rx achieves where others do not. It offers savings of up to 60 percent, free consultations by U.S. licensed physicians and next day FedEx shipping. All major FDA-approved drugs are available. Products are genuine and could not be sold legally without government approval. This provides the consumer an easy and dependable way to order and purchase their desired prescriptions and to avoid paying super-inflated overhead costs. Most importantly, consumers can do so from the security of home.

Unfortunately, black market drug selling does indeed exist, as do websites offering cheap drugs without disclosing hidden costs or divulging the origins of the products. Most people would agree that not all companies are equal. People want genuine products, an opportunity to save money and the ability to trust.

Trusted Online Prescriptions is an affiliate of CDRx and provides precisely what its name says. It is listed among many popular search engines and is continually expanding its global market. Its goal is that more and more people will find new confidence in purchasing legal prescription medication from their homes.

Consumers Discount Rx.com, Inc. and AmeriMedRx Industries, LCC together (cdrx.AmeriMedRx) form one of the most trusted online medical offices. It offers medical consultation by U.S. licensed physicians, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, FDA-approved pharmaceuticals and prescription processing.

Currently reaching 59 countries worldwide, it respects the Internet as a means to provide to anyone, anywhere and at anytime. It believes in discreet and confidential service. The company and its affiliates are a family dedicated to pursuing integrity and satisfaction--a goal that is reflected in its clients' testimonies and returning business.

Tips for Talking About Medicare Rx During this Holiday Season

Tips for Talking About Medicare Rx During this Holiday Season, from AARP Tennessee

NASHVILLE, Dec. 22 /U.S. Newswire/ -- AARP Tennessee is encouraging families and friends to talk with their loved ones during the upcoming holidays about the new Medicare Prescription Drug Program, called Medicare Rx, which will begin on January 1, 2006. Over one-third of the 912,000 Medicare beneficiaries in Tennessee do not have any drug coverage currently, and those with limited incomes and high annual prescription drug costs could greatly benefit from the new coverage. Medicare Rx coverage also offers protection against future drug costs that may become significant as people age.

Tara Shaver, AARP Tennessee’s Associate State Director of Community Outreach, said, "While we know that it takes time to understand the benefit, Medicare Rx offers real savings. Just starting the conversation with your family and friends is the first step. And there are resources available to help make the decision about enrolling in the program, if it meets your needs."

Shaver continued, "Remember that current Medicare beneficiaries have until May 15, 2006 to enroll before a penalty begins, so there is no reason to panic. But people should start that conversation today."

Here are some items that you should bring to the table when talking about Medicare Rx:

1) Have a list of the prescription drugs that you currently take, including the name, dosage, and number of times you take each drug in a month.

2) Have your Medicare card handy. Everyone who is on Medicare is eligible for Medicare Rx, regardless of income.

3) Know the name of your pharmacy where you like to have your prescriptions filled. You want to make sure that any plan in which you enroll has your pharmacy in its network. Your pharmacist can tell you which plans s/he accepts.

4) If you receive drug coverage from an employer, union, or other source, make sure you have a letter from them stating that you do or do not have "creditable coverage," which means coverage that is as good as Medicare Rx. If you have not received a letter, call the number on back of your insurance card immediately. If you do have “creditable coverage,” then you do not need to enroll in Medicare’s drug plan. Always check with your plan/employer before adding additional coverage to avoid interruption or loss of benefits.

5) Know that if your income is less than $14,355 (single) and $19,245 (couple), you may be eligible for extra financial assistance. Call the Social Security Administration, and a counselor will help complete the application with you.

Once you have these items in front of you, and you have started to look at the materials from the drug companies, you may want to contact some of the companies or Medicare for more information.

If you want to call Medicare or the companies directly, remember a few tips:

1) To avoid long hold times, do not call during normal business hours. Try to call in the early morning or late evening. Medicare has a hotline available 24/7, and most drug company call centers have weekend hours.

2) 1-800-MEDICARE is a call center. Be specific with your requests, and speak clearly. If you need help with making a decision, ask the operator for “Help choosing a drug plan.”

3) Have your Medicare Card in front of you as well as the list of drugs you take.

4) If your situation is complex, you may need to speak with a Medicare counselor. Medicare counselors are also available through the State Health Insurance Assistance Programs (SHIP) in each state and territory. SHIP programs operate during traditional business hours and have few paid staff, but the staff is extremely helpful.

5) Remember to be patient. This is a new program in Medicare.

Shaver added, "AARP encourages Medicare beneficiaries to engage their families and healthcare providers in this important decision. You are not alone, and we encourage people to reach out and ask for assistance."

Prescription Drug Plan Study Projects 47% Savings for Medicare Enrollees

Copay Solutions Study Projects 47% Savings for Medicare Enrollees under Prescription Drug Plan

National study of Medicare Drug Plan enrollees finds average enrollee will save 47% by enrolling in a plan. Humana is most aggressive bidder on Drug Plan business.

Los Gatos, CA (PRWEB) December 19, 2005 -- A study released today by Copay Solutions found that enrollees in a Medicare Prescription Drug Plan can expect to save 47% from their current annual drug spend. On average, enrollees in the study were paying $3,685 per year for 5.4 prescription drugs. By enrolling in the Medicare Prescription Drug Plan with the lowest total cost, enrollees were able to reap projected savings of $1,741 or 47% of their current annual drug spend.

While the study analyzed Prescription Drug Plan offerings from all of the insurers involved in the Medicare Drug Program, it found that Humana offered the lowest-cost plan to more than 50% of the enrollees.

The study consolidated data from Medicare websites with data collected from enrollees for such items as current drugs, dosage, and cost. The survey sample included 100 enrollees from 93 different zip codes across the U.S.

“Our analysis indicates that the Medicare Drug Program is a solid program and one that has the potential to save people real money,” said George D. Pillari, CEO of Copay Solutions. “We consider this to be a flash estimate of the potential effect of the Medicare Drug Program on the Medicare population and on the organizations offering Prescription Drug Plan insurance products,” he added.

Anecdotally, the Company cited two primary complaints from enrollees who were considering the new Program:

• The belief that the Program was only for low-income citizens and the perceived lack of eligibility led to a lack of interest, and

• The plan selection process was overly complex. Since every plan has a different formulary, deductible and copayment structure, consumers were having difficulty identifying the most important elements in a purchasing decision.

Mr. Pillari added, “Despite the difficulties involved in the plan selection and enrollment process, Medicare enrollees should take the time to identify and enroll in a plan and take advantage of the savings opportunity. The numbers are compelling.”

Smart Medication Coverage Is Canadian Prescriptions and a Basic Medicare Plan, Says DoctorSolve

Smart Medication Coverage Is a Combination of Canadian Prescriptions and a Basic Medicare Plan, Says DoctorSolve

Peace of mind that affordable Canadian drug supply will always be there is enhanced by a low-premium plan that provides coverage in the event of catastrophic illness.

Vancouver, B.C. (PRWEB) December 15, 2005 -- Just days before the official registration for Medicare Plan D began, a national survey showed that only 4 in 10 seniors planned to sign up. Most seniors find it too confusing and are afraid to pick the wrong insurance plan.

Many patients will continue to do what they've always done-buy their meds from Canadian pharmacies. It's affordable and beautifully uncomplicated. “That is still a smart option by far, particularly to fill in the coverage gap,” says Dr. Paul Zickler of DoctorSolve (www.doctorsolve.com). Drug prices, on average, are still 43% cheaper than buying in the U.S.”

“For those who are concerned about suddenly falling ill to the point where a drug regimen might run over $7,000 a year, it also makes sense to register for a very basic plan. Rather than using the plan to purchase medications, the plan is a safety net should one's health situation change. For a very reasonable monthly payment, patients can buy a plan that will protect their Part D privileges, and prevent a penalty for delayed enrolment. That low monthly premium is easily covered by savings realized from buying Canadian drugs.”

It's an idea that is echoed by Peter Wyckoff, Executive Director of the Minnesota Senior Federation, a group that has set up links to Canadian pharmacies for 11 states. “Some people may find that paying the full price of imported drugs is still a better deal than buying higher-priced, Medicare-subsidized drugs in the United States. Those people could purchase a low-premium Medicare drug plan in case the situation changes.”

To find the plan that's right for them, Dr. Zickler recommends that patients consider the drug regimen they are currently on and what it is costing them. They should also have a realistic expectation of their health needs in the future.

“Come January 1, insurance companies, pharmacists and doctors will be scrambling to service beneficiaries of a very convoluted program with a vast array of plans. When you think about it, enjoying uninterrupted service and saving 43% on drugs from a Canadian pharmacy sounds pretty good.”

DoctorSolve, a Canadian Internet-based pharmacy intermediary (license #BC Q37), offers lower-cost, long-term prescriptions. A professionally registered pharmacist fills all prescriptions. A certified member of the Canadian International Pharmacy Association, DoctorSolve is ranked as one of the best online pharmacies by PharmacyChecker.com. DoctorSolve has filled more than 200,000 U.S. prescriptions.

With a market this large and the best affiliate program payouts available, there is enormous mutual potential for both ePharmacies.com and their affiliates.

They are also providing their affiliates with a 2nd tier where they can earn 11% from any of their sub-affiliates. Online affiliate programs come in all shapes and sizes, but the numbers rarely lie. Current ePharmacies.com affiliates are seeing as high as a 2.77% conversion ration for their traffic, also shattering industry standards to date.

Publishers interested in the ePharmacies.com affiliate program need only go to the website. They provide their affiliates with all of the tools necessary to close the deal with those potential leads. Keyword optimized text links, attractive and inviting banners, and great informational resources are available with the help of ShareaSale.com. Few of the highest paying affiliate programs also go to the lengths that ePharmacies does to help their publishers maximize their conversions.

Perhaps the most useful resources that are provided in the ePharmacies.com affiliate program are their tips and tricks, specifically geared for the pharmaceutical industry. You can get great advice about where to get new exposure, how to best convert traffic to sales, and much more. This resource truly sets ePharmacies.com apart from other pharmacy affiliate programs.

Consumers Safely Find Cheap Prescription Drugs With Discount Coupons and Callback Buttons

Newly Released Discount Coupons and Callback Buttons Help Consumers Safely Find Cheap Prescription Drugs

By introducing discount coupons on prescription drugs combined with callbacks from verified sources online pharmacy guide, RefillPill.com, connects shoppers to licensed pharmacies.

(PRWEB) December 14, 2005 -- RefillPill.com, a leading online destination to find medication, has released an online discount coupon on prescription drugs from Canada. By introducing discount coupons on prescription drugs combined with callbacks from verified sources online pharmacy guide, RefillPill.com, connects shoppers to licensed pharmacies. The coupon is available on www.RefillPill.com/index.html. The coupon is designed for online shoppers who are looking to buy cheap drugs from legitimate sources. Consumers get an online discount coupon on their preferred medication as well as a callback from a licensed pharmacy at zero cost.

Everyday in the United States there are patients who pay for their prescription drugs entirely out-of-pocket. Lack of health insurance extends beyond the poor and elderly to the working class and the self-employed. But they all share one thing in common - they pay too much for their drugs, especially when they can be mailed to their doorstep for half the cost. So why aren’t more Americans buying their medications from Canadian pharmacies where they can save 40–70%?

Unfortunately, research indicates that they don’t know how to do it safely, and as a result inexperienced consumers buy from online sources without a valid prescription. This practise is not authorized by the FDA. Consumers who purchase drugs without a prescription run the risk of receiving counterfeited products. To be on the safe side RefillPill.com suggests considering the following special offer on how to order drugs easily and confidentially from a licensed pharmacy in Canada.

1. Go to www.refillpill.com and fill out the coupon-survey for free.
2. Request a call from our call center agents to take advantage of a $10.00 discount on your first order.
3. Mail or fax your valid prescriptions – Toll Free - directly to a licensed and legitimate Canadian online pharmacy.
4. Get a check for $50.00 for each referral who spends more than $100 on the first purchase.

This special offer provides you with savings up to 60% on Fosamax, Zocor, Norvasc, Pravachol and 6000 other brand and generic medications! Free shipping included on all orders over $39.00.

Ameriplan USA launches Nationwide Health Plan

Effective December 5, 2005 Ameriplan USA's Health discount plan expanded nationwide. This represents another stage in the shift toward consumer driven health care. Ameriplan will offer over 400,000 primary care physicians and specialists in their network. Ameriplan's coverage provides medical, dental, vision, prescription, and chiropractic benefits for a low monthly cost to their members.

Plano, TX (PRWEB) December 7, 2005 -- Discount Dental and Health company AmeriPlan USA launched a new medical discount program nationwide on Wednesday. The new health plan expands the AmeriPlan discount program beyond their traditional dental coverage, and takes consumer driven health care to a new level.

The new medical program will include over 400,000 participating primary care physicians and specialists. Customers also gain the benefits of a patient advocacy group. AmeriPlan has partnered with the Karis group to represent patients and work on their behalf during hospital confinement.

The discount plan is even more powerful for consumers when they combine it with high deductible and catastrophic health insurance and tax deductible health savings accounts.

“This expansion into health care is consistent with our company’s strategy and mission to encourage the health care industry to become more consumer driven, and to offer plans for our members that maximize value and savings with this new trend in the market,” says Valerie Mize, an independent broker for AmeriPlan USA.

Canada Pharmacy - Helping Patients Make a Better Informed Decision on Medicare

Canada Pharmacy – Helping Patients Make a Better Informed Decision on Medicare

As the Medicare program sign up begins seniors continued to be overwhelmed with information and are attempting to dig through the huge volume of information in order to make an informed decision on a very complex program.

Surrey, B.C. (PRWEB) December 8, 2005 -- As the Medicare program sign up begins seniors continued to be overwhelmed with information and are attempting to dig through the huge volume of information in order to make an informed decision on a very complex program.

The Medicare & You handbook designed to guide seniors through the process has omitted some of the key information seniors need to know before they locked themselves into the program. For majority there will be very little cost savings. The Medicare & You handbook omits a number of key points such as which drugs are “excluded” from the program, as well as informing seniors that there is a “coverage gap” of $2,850 that will directly effect their decision to join. The poorly thought out program is forcing seniors to make decisions without providing all of the information.

'PROFUSION OF CONFUSION' - "It's a profusion of confusion," said Ron Pollack, executive director of the Families USA advocacy group. For instance, in the Washington, D.C. area, monthly premiums can be as low as $6.44 and as high as $68.91, while deductibles can run from zero to $250, Families USA found. That very range of choices can be formidable, some critics say. In some parts of the country, seniors have to compare more than 100 plans to figure out which ones cover their specific drugs, at pharmacies they have access to, at prices they can afford.

"These plans are so complicated and the options so varied that Albert Einstein couldn't understand them," New York Democrat Sen. Charles Schumer told reporters.

"What I'm hearing back home is 'My gosh, it's so confusing,"' acknowledged South Dakota Republican Sen. John Thune, who said even his own father, almost 86, found the choices daunting.

Mark Catroppa, from Canada Pharmacy says; “Many of our patients are choosing to continue to order their medications from us once they calculate the monthly premiums, deductibles and understand the coverage gap, it financially works to their benefit”. As well, using Canada Pharmacy there are “no surprises”, no contracts and they have full access to any quality medication to choose from; no restrictions on the brand or generic they wish to order.

To help our patients with their decision, we have an easy to use online Medicare Assessment Calculator that will instantly tell them whether or not the Medicare program makes financial sense for them. They can visit our website at http://www.canadapharmacy.com or call our 24 hour call centre at 1-800-891-0844 and one of our Patient Care Specialist can assist them.

New Tool Reveals Canadian Drugs Are More Affordable Than Medicare Drugs

Calculate and Compare: New Tool Reveals Canadian Drugs Are More Affordable Than Medicare Drugs

OneWorldRx (www.oneworldrx.com) offers a new and valuable tool - an online automated calculator, to compare the benefits of Medicare Part D versus buying prescriptions from Canada. Compare before you sign because the results may surprise you.

Vancouver, Canada (PRWeb) Dec. 5, 2005 – Many American seniors are feeling pressured to sign up for the new Medicare Prescription drug program as the enrolment period continues. But with a dizzying array of state plans, difficult qualification criteria and limited formularies most seniors are finding the program unnecessarily complex and unwieldy.

Many individuals are discovering that the actual savings under Medicare Part D may be minimal and fear they will shrink even further with rising premiums and formulary limitations. Therefore, it is advisable that consumers consider all of their options including purchasing their medications from a reputable Canadian pharmacy.

OneWorldRx (www.oneworldrx.com) provides a valuable resource for American consumers who struggle with the cost of their prescription drugs. The site gives consumers the ability to perform an instant personal analysis online that compares the bottom-line costs from Medicare versus a Canadian pharmacy. Patients can also call toll-free 1-888-533-9900 for a free consultation that will guide them through a series of choices.

“We have launched this calculator with the patient’s best interest in mind to educate them objectively about the complete range of available options to help them make an informed decision,” said Amber McBain, OneWorldRx Business Development Manager. “They may not be getting balanced advice from private insurers because they are seen as potential clients, not as patients.”

Examples of average annual savings from CitizensMeds.com vs. Medicare Part D* (see attached spreadsheet):

$ 1000 Retail = $ 282 savings vs. Medicare D

$ 3000 Retail = $ 156 savings vs. Medicare D

$ 5000 Retail = $ 956 savings vs. Medicare D

* includes premiums, deductible and co-pays, assumes a 40% average savings from Canada

Although the specific costs of private plans will vary, so too will their specific coverage of drugs. Seniors need to carefully review the plan’s drug coverage to ensure their prescriptions are included. Even if enrolled in Medicare Part D, there may be frequent times when a person will be forced to pay 100% of their drug costs. That is the ideal time to turn to Canada.
