The US Drug Watchdog is leading an extremely aggressive national initiative campaign, aimed at informing the 35 million US denture cream users about possible zinc poisoning, and a potential neurological condition known as neuropathy, that could be associated with the denture creams Super Poligrip and Fixodent (source: American Academy of Neurology). The group is saying, "we are talking about zinc poisoning that could give potential victims side effects that include unexplained weakness, numbness, loss of sensation in their hands or feet and other nerve symptoms. We are talking about zinc levels that could be as much as 10 times what you are supposed to have in your body."
